What can we say about the beaches around Destin but WOW. The crystal white sand found on the Florida panhandle is nothing like you see along the west coast or Atlantic coast of Florida. The water of the gulf along the Florida panhandle can range from emerald green to light baby blue and is amazing to swim in.
While shelling in Destin Florida, we are amazed at the variety of shells we were able to collect. We found many types of shells such as Olives, Augers, and Sand Conchs as well as a few Scotch Bonnets and cones. After experiencing the beautiful beaches along the Florida Panhandle, we are planning to make this an annual trip.
